Movement
Motion - blur
is the apparent streaking of rapidly moving objects in a still image or a
sequence of images such as a movie or animation. It results when the image
being recorded changes during the recording of a single exposure, either due to
rapid movement or
long exposure.
Freeze Frame - is a single frame forming a motionless image from a film or videotape
Movement - is an act of movement
Panning - Swing (a video or film camera) in a horizontal or vertical plane, typically to give a panoramic effect or follow a subject
Have the camera in manual or shutter priority mode !!

Artist Research -
Ernst Haas (March 2, 1921 – September 12, 1986) was an Austrian-American photojournalist and colour photographer. During his 40-year career, Haas bridged the gap between photojournalism and the use of photography as a medium for expression and creativity. In addition to his coverage of events around the globe after World War 2, Haas was an early innovator in color photography. His images were disseminated by magazines like Life and Vogue and, in 1962, were the subject of the first single-artist exhibition of color photography at New York’s Museum of modern art. He served as president of the cooperative Magnum photos, and his book The Creation (1971) was one of the most successful photography books ever, selling 350,000 copies.

AO3: Record ideas, observations and insights relevant to intentions, reflecting critically on work and progress.
My idea for recording Movement was to capture the idea of light within movement. By looking at the work of Ernst haas and using his inspiration of moving objects within an image I then tried to capture the movement of a torch and develop certain shapes. By working with light I did have a few outcomes to start off with that i wasn't happy with but I finally worked out the right aperture and shutter speed to make the photos work for me and record movement in the way I wanted.

With reference to the Best selected images...
One of my favourite images is the heart shape and star shape as it shows how one singular movement over time can transform into a shape.
AO2: Explore and select appropriate resources, media, materials, techniques and processes, reviewing and refining ideas as work develops.
I used a Canon DSLR for this with a shutter speed 25'' and an aperture of around f9.0, however this varied depending on the position of the light from the torch. By having the camera on continuous shooting it meant I was able to capture these pictures. I then would repeat the shape of a heart or example over and over again and by the shutter speed being a longer time of 25 secs it would capture every singular movement of the light source and that would create the outlines.

AO1: Develop ideas through sustained and focused investigations informed by contextual and other sources, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding.
(Here you will discuss how you developed your work based on your research of e.g. artists/photographers, etc).
The artist research was helpful as I realised that movement could be captured by light photography and this meant i was able to create the process of movement by capturing the movement of light through time. By recording moving objects and capturing this I am now developing a strong series of images.
(It is important that you show a progression of your work… which may mean revisiting a subject area and adding additional images showing a development of your ideas or refinement of the final images through).
AO4: Present a personal and meaningful response that realises intentions and, where appropriate, makes connections between visual and other elements.
(At the end of the entry you will discuss whether you have produced a personal and meaningful response, this means (are my images creative/relevant to the subject area studied/connected and influenced by any research undertaken).
I believe the images I have produced show the strong series of how I can develop my movement in photography through other formal elements and I intend to improve upon this in the future.
