PORTFOLIO FORMAL ELEMENTS

Portfolio Formal Elements

Portfolio - An artist's portfolio is an edited collection of their best artwork intended to showcase an artist's style or method of work. A portfolio is used by artists to show employers their versatility by showing different samples of current work.

In my opinion a successful portfolio would be one that includes a series of images that are linked to a theme e.g - Landscapes. That identify your best work and best images you have produced through a series of your work. These could also be edited in a similar style e.g black and white. These must be presented in a neat and formal style that looks appealing to the eye.

Aesthetic - concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty. A set of principles underlying the work of a particular artist or artistic movement.
